Anvor, made its public debut at Digital PayExpo 2026 in Lagos, Nigeria.
A First Appearance in Lagos
Digital PayExpo is one of Africa's largest payments industry events, bringing together banks, payment service providers, and fintech professionals from across the continent. Anvor chose this stage for its first public appearance, entering into direct conversation with a payments landscape that is evolving quickly.
On the Product Demo stage, Wisecard's Suvi Chen introduced Anvor to the audience: a smart payment ring that combines contactless payment across major networks with continuous 24-hour health monitoring. One device, two capabilities, worn on a finger.
Why Now
Payment methods keep evolving, but the burden of carrying them rarely gets lighter. Cards, phones, wristbands: each solves part of the problem, yet rarely disappears into the background of daily life. The question Wisecard's team set out to answer was direct: in a life already carrying enough, where should payment belong?
Anvor is the current answer to that question. It asks nothing extra of the wearer, requires nothing extra to carry. The act of wearing it is, itself, the act of enabling both payment and health data collection.
What Happened on the Floor
Throughout the day, the booth drew a steady stream of industry professionals interested in next-generation payment experiences: bank representatives exploring how Anvor could integrate into existing card issuance systems, payment service providers asking about SDK integration paths, and attendees simply drawn to the idea of a ring that pays.
For anyone exploring next-generation payment experiences for their customers or institution, the Wisecard team continued those conversations on-site, and remains open to continuing them further.
This Is Only the Beginning
Digital PayExpo 2026 marks Anvor's first step into the market, not its final one. More use cases and partnerships, spanning both payment and health, are already underway.
